Is anyone alive out there?
Miss all the useless stuff we used to talk about and meeting new people who'd drop by. I can't even bring myself to post much on here cause I feel like I'm talking to myself but it's been nice seeing some people drop by n see whuts up. We'll get it back to where it was headed it the past!!! IDK introduce yourself or something lol. Anyone visiting who hasn't registered will find that this site has more stuff to it if you visit it while you're actually logged in!

For anyone who doesn't know what's going on, this site was established in 2003 and was gaining momentum and popularity when something bad happened to me in 2006 which kept me from keeping tabs on it for a year. The last 3 months of that year the server bugged out and this website was offline until early 2007 but I wasn't around to fix it. Soon as I was back I got it up again but any regulars to the site had forgot about it and the Pages Rank on search engines dropped from a PR 5 to a PR 0. In the past year I've been trying to put the pieces back together and have most of this working again. For almost half a year this place was so slow you couln't make it past a webpage loading without falling asleep. I couldn't afford an expensive server... you just don't know... but I finally was able to here like four months ago. Weez at PR 3 now!

(I'll add more to the history of how this website came about later. Maybe we need an about us section?)

As of February 2008 Richard Davis (http://richardandthepallbearers.com) joined DFWunderground as our official interview / press operations Guru and has been publishing articles for the site to help speed the proccess of obtaining some traffick through here once again

As of June 2008 we've upgraded the website to a new dedicated server to handle the load this site is bound to get again. In the past DFW was getting over a million hits a month but the site has acquired so much content it became too sluggish (too much stuff for our cheapy hosting account) for anyone to use even though we lost a lot of those hits we used to get

( addition 8-28-08 )
So after the transfer of the site some stuff on here still doesn't work right but I'm learning all I can to get it fixed. I'd never set up my own webserver before, which by doing it myself saves me from paying twice as much every month. This site sits on a decent dedicated computer on a very fast connection which should do us good for a while unless we get into music hosting. So i's just a matter of getting people here and keep at it. When people were using it in the past it motivated me so much that working on this place became my addiction. I got stuff already going I haven't even put up yet. And have spent hundreds of hours making ths what it is.

So far the DFW team consists of Richard (powderburn) and myself Billy (B). Any of the older moderators are welcome back if they feel they can contribute to the msg boards and help make this a thriving online Dallas music community once again Smile

Before the concept of DFW which targets music of all genres catering to a deviating from the norm sort of crowd, websites leading to this development included DFWravers.ORG and Da-Jihad.NET (Dallas Jihad) which aired from 2001-2003
