Well you need to get the essentials. Either get really skilled at stealing from WalMart or get a job. Cuz it gets expensive. You'll need those small Krlon paint cans. Very good for portability. Remember, portable is the word here. You don't want to get caught. Your also going to need a bag or shoulder pouch. Like a dj record bag. That will work perfectly.
PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!
Do this at home in the back yard, WITH A MASK or Rag.
NEVER Crown your work... It's just a thing people hate, I've picked it up along the way of my phase..
Develope a writing style, one that is original and does not always conform to bubble lettering or other forms of graffiti.
I would show you some of my work... But, they took it down before I could take any pictures.

if your wanting to tag, the essentials go WAAYY beyond just paint. For low key stuff that is damn near impossible to get rid of you need Decko paint pens. these can be found at asels or michaels. The giant woodmarkers at michaels are also ideal, but can be cleaned up easier. If your half competent in what your doing, oil bars is the next step up. These are giant bars of oil paint that you can use to write on any, repeat, ANY surface. Ideally i use them on telephone polls because they are rarely buffed. these can be found at asels in all sorts of colors, or in the form of "mean streaks" at office depo. Glad to help the cause...just try not to uglify dallas to much more than it already is. Remember kids, if your ganna be doing graffiti, at least TRY and have some sort of artistic talent, for after all it is an art

Save up some $$$ and get a GOOD digital camera (and practice with it!) to take pics of your work. B&H photo was selling an Olympus EVOLT E-300 kit with dual lenses for $800 recently, about $200 discount, dunno if they still are. Save your art, you worked hard on it!

yo GRAFF is just alterting letters so the way i use to help people out was just tell em to writing down a simple block letter then start adding lines, bends, and other shit in it...at 1st it will look like a toy but with the more time u spend the better u'll get and trust me once you start you will be spending alot of time on it cuz GRAFF IS A ADDICTING once you hold the can and spray for your 1st time YOU ARE ADDICTED to it all.
